Information Technology-Business Integration in Marketing requires an increasingly digital competency. The need to apply technology so that the business can better understand our customer needs and insights, as well as the requirement to increase productivity and efficiency is growing and becoming more sophisticated by the day. The area is continuously evolving-new products in the marketplace, new platforms, improvements to existing platforms, new data to report and new ways of operating.

Position Brand description:

The IT Business & Technical Integrator role will have focus on the Lilly Marketing technology capabilities, being responsible for deploying, enhancing and help adoption of IT solution in Marketing space.

The purpose of this role is to solve business problems and improve business processes by identifying and ensuring the most appropriate IT solutions are deployed.

This role has a direct impact on customer experience and is a key strategic enabler to the commercialization of products across the world.


The IT Business & Technical Integrator, in partnership with other team members, will implement solutions that deliver value to our Marketing users across the world. Additionally, will be a subject matter expert for a subset of solutions supported by the team.

This individual will:

  • Partner with solution architecture to deliver reliable, scalable, quality, secure solutions to our customers.

  • Ensure architecture principles are followed and adhered to. Evaluates the application lifecycle against the solution architecture roadmap and executes appropriate retirement/replacement

  • Oversee projects and partner with business partners & TCS external team to ensure on-time delivery

  • Solve problems and create solutions with quality and creativity.

  • Ensure information security, quality, and related documentation is complete and processes are followed.

  • Author business cases, validation documentation and cost/benefit analysis to ensure capability is competitive, compliant, and effective

  • Requirements gathering & propose changes to existing services, systems, and capabilities for the business area

  • Creates and contributes to the development of the OCM plan

  • Coordinate & Accountable for vendor management services provided by TCS team

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • 2 +years in information technology

  • 2+ years Proven experience/knowledge of Lilly Sales & Marketing Business processes and the systems that support these processes

  • Strong learning agility

  • Proven track record in IT project delivery

  • Experience working across multiple customer groups

  • Exposure to Cloud Vendors and concepts – AWS preferred

  • Knowledge/Certification in Agile delivery – Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred

  • Basic understanding of technical terminology and products (Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint, Salesforce, Azure B2B, etc.)

  • Experience in a regulated industry – pharmaceutical preferred

  • Experience in fast-paced problem management

  • Vendor Management experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail

  • Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment

  • Experience translating complex, ambiguous concepts into actionable plans

  • Proactive mindset that can solve issues and involve stakeholders as needed

  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively translate business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa

  • Strong networking, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
