Position Brand Description:
The Global Lab Information and Data Solutions (IDS) team delivers and maintains applications that support the Global Lab organization at Lilly. This team is part of the broader Manufacturing and Quality (M&Q) IDS organization that continues to transform as we look to the digital plant of the future and support manufacturing operational excellence and productivity efforts maximizing the use of technology and analytics.
The Global Lab IDS team works in partnership with the Global Lab business central and site representatives to define business needs and provide solutions for Lab. This team is responsible for the support and solution delivery of IT tools that support the Global Lab business application portfolio, such as LIMS, LES, ELN, CDS, and Lab intelligence solution. As part of this journey in covering business needs for the Lab, the team is starting a journey for the adoption of the Next Generation of LIMS and LES solutions.
A key role in the Global Lab organization for this journey will be the Data, Integrations & Analytics Architect position who will be responsible for the definition of the data and analytics strategy for the future solution, as well as defining and delivering the data migration strategy from the legacy LIMS/LES tools to the new ones.
You will set the strategy, influence and evolve the data model definition and exploitation, as well as the required analytics tools to provide valuable insights for our business.
You will partner with other data and analytics IDS groups in the company to ensure strategic alignment and maximize value obtained out the solutions implemented.
Partnering with the Solution Architect and Business Process Architect, you will provide technical leadership to the team and internal customers for definition and usage of data solutions.
You will lead, define, and validate the solution to perform the data migration from the old LIMS/LES systems to the Next Generation system.
You will provide direction and partner with the IDS and GQL team for the implementation and roll out of NexGen Lab applications
You will gain business area knowledge enough to anticipate short term and future needs.
You will coach and mentor peers and team mates on business processes, technologies, and design, as appropriate.
You will remain knowledgeable of cutting-edge machine learning/ big data methods and techniques
As a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Technical Science or related field.
At least 6 years of relevant Manufacturing or IT experience, particularly on Data & Analytics fields.
At least 3 years of experience working with relational databases, SQL, AWS and data warehousing, as well as experience in building complex data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
Demonstrated learning agility and flexibility both technically as well as business processes and applications.
Demonstrated ability to establish key relationships with those outside of the immediate business area.
Experience working globally across organizational levels and OUS cultures
Ability to take long term strategic plan and break it into shorter programs and projects
Demonstrated experience with distributed (S95 Level 3) solutions, commercial configurable software (COTS) suppliers, and business intelligence
Deep understanding of GMP, CRF 21 part 11, and data integrity requirements and experience delivering within those requirements
Ability to influence others to adopt different point of view or concept
Experience with ETL and Business Intelligence tools.
Experience and understanding of Global Quality Laboratory (GQL) business processes.
Experience working as part of a manufacturing site
Experience with Agile Scrum, Critical Chain, and/or ITIL methodologies
Regional and International travel required (15-25%)
M&Q operates on a 24/7 schedule requiring work off hours and on weekends as needed
