Note: Employees hired on banded positions (ex: P1-P3, R1-R2, B1-B3, etc.) transfer at their current level, despite the level indicated on the job posting. For example, if a P2 candidate is selected for a P1-P3 banded position, the candidate will remain a P2 in the new role.

Responsibilities:

Provides administrative leadership and developing the technical expertise of manufacturing employees within the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP) plant. This position is specific to Night Shift on B or D shift. The leader must ensure the packaging line(s) is/are adequately staffed with trained/qualified employees and help ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures is required. Direct line supervision for line leaders and operators

Key Objectives / Deliverables:

  • Monitor and build a strong HSE culture within operations.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting HSE corporate and site goals.

  • Ensures strict compliance with established policies/procedures (Safety, Production Procedures, Cleaning, Gowning Etc.)

  • Ensures staffing and training for operators working on the lines.

  • Supervise, develop, and coach operators.

  • Take ownership for implementation of countermeasures associated with audits, observations, inspection findings, and deviations relative to the Vial Packaging area.

  • Participate in procedure training and reviews.

  • Assist Manager in the development and performance evaluation of operators, as well as conduct Performance Management reviews.

  • Communicate with the area Manager on quality, safety, environmental, and operational issues.

  • Act as both administrator and technical leader for operations, setting a good example, demonstrate knowledge of procedures, compliance with quality systems, and use of proper techniques during manual assembly/packaging.

  • Responsible for shop floor execution as it relates to operations plan/metrics, GMP conformance, and Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence (OSSCE).

Basic Requirement:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Additional Skills/Preferences :

  • Assembly/Packaging experience

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. For this employment position, Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status).

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, across levels and function.

  • Strong organization skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, request, including planning, leading and implementing.

  • Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot issues and learn new processes.

  • Ability to work overtime, as required.

  • Basic computer skills (desktop software) are required

  • Solid level of teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable.

  • Strong understanding of quality systems in a manufacturing environment

  • Skills in giving and receiving feedback

  • Self Management skills

  • Experience with cGMP environment

  • Experience working in device manufacturing environment

  • Good writing and editing skills

  • Leadership experience

Additional Information :

  • Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves, etc.)

  • Some allergens are present in the IDAP plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.

  • Position involves work in combination of office environments, and manufacturing areas

  • Minimal, to no travel, required.

  • This posting is for a Night Shift Position. Schedule is 12-hour work days with a 3-2-2-3 schedule (1745 - 0600).
