Lilly Machinist C–Maintenance–IAPI in Indianapolis, Indiana
Position Brand Description: Machinist C – Maintenance – IAPI are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the bulk of the mechanical equipment used in the process area, labs, and supporting utilities in IAPI.
Process pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement and turbine pumps) Including troubleshooting, dismantling and reassembly.
Process columns, including troubleshooting, disassembly and reassembly
Equipment unique to the processes (centrifuges, homogenizers, vapor separators, agitators, gearboxes, process supply and exhaust fans etc.), including troubleshooting, dismantling and reassembly.
Work with cross functional resources to address, investigate, and resolve equipment related issues.
Other areas of responsibility:
Safety: Conduct their daily activities in a manner that will cause no injuries to them or their co-workers. They are also required to attend safety meetings and complete all health and safety related training.
Compliance: Complete all work in a timely manner and in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures.
Documentation: Complete all documentation associated with daily maintenance activities, including work order hard copy completion, parts ordering (pick slip generation), and post maintenance documentation(where required).
Communication: Pass all vital information along to the appropriate parties when dealing with critical equipment issues. This is done both orally and in written reports.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills
This position requires that candidates meet the area-specific Functional Job Description and Post Offer Exam requirements
Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts (including nights and weekends)
Tasks require entering manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE

High School Diploma/GED
Have completed a (4) year Apprenticeship in the trade
