Finance Overview:

  • Our internship identifies potential leaders, provides a clear experience of our culture and an exposure to career paths at Lilly. The people, projects, and the activities provide a wonderful landscape of learning and platform for strengthening leadership skills.

  • Within Finance specifically, we seek self-starting individuals who demonstrate decision-making, project management and data analysis skills. Strong problem solving, organizational, communication and analytical skills are also needed to perform successfully.

  • Exposure and access to senior leadership allows you to understand their perspectives on the business, careers and values. Training sessions are structured to help you develop knowledge of the industry.

International cMBA overview – Internship

International markets represent significant growth opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry and for Lilly. One key element of our strategy is to grow our international business and as a result, we need talented individuals from highly ranked business schools to be part of our leadership team.

Lilly is seeking intern candidates who are committed to an initial full-time position based in their country of origin which provides the foundational platform to learn the industry and understand our customers (patients, payers, and providers). Internships are based in Indianapolis. MBAs will leverage and develop their leadership skills in their home affiliate as part of a global culture dedicated to employee development.

Additional Benefits:

  • All interns will receive a competitive salary and will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance

  • Indianapolis-based internship only

  • Lilly arranges various intern activities including sporting events, dinners, lunch and learns, etc. to provide opportunities for socializing, professional development, and learning more about Lilly.

  • Interns will receive free parking at their work site, as well as access to Lilly’s LIFE fitness center and bike garage

  • If the intern's job position requires a move from another location, Lilly will provide subsidized housing

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an MBA program

  • Graduate by August 2022

  • 3 to 7 years of professional work experience with growing responsibilities in business related disciplines.

  • Authorized to work for one of the countries listed: Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, UK, Spain, Japan, China, and Saudi Arabia

  • Must list country of work authorization on cover letter.

Desired Experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership

  • Previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience is a plus

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Strong learning agility

  • Language fluency for country of work authorization

  • Language fluency in English (both written and verbal)
