Responsibilities:

The Technology Management MBA internship area targets those who want to be leaders and have a passion for using technology to solve business challenges. This new MBA area merges technology and healthcare, providing participants the unique opportunity to be critical problem solvers and leaders in two of the most rapidly changing fields. Lilly’s robust development pipeline and focus on innovative technologies empower these leaders to drive technology business solutions for major company initiatives, as well as solutions for patients to make it easier for them to start, stay on and be supported by Lilly medicines

Our internship identifies potential leaders, provides a transparent experience of our culture and an exposure to career paths at Lilly. The people, projects, and the activities provide a wonderful landscape of learning and platform for strengthening leadership skills.

Your project will help you learn about the pharma industry and our global business. Projects are tangible real world work - challenging and important to the business. Potential areas of focus include leveraging big data and analytics, enabling digital services and connected devices, establishing security in a more public world, and defining and improving customer experiences.

Exposure and access to senior leadership allows you to see their point of view on the business, careers and values.

Basic Qualificiations:

  • Enrolled in an MBA program

  • Expected graduation by August 2021

  • Language fluency in English (both written and verbal)

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • 3 to 7 years of professional work experience with growing responsibilities in information and technology or relevant IT disciplines. Relevant work experience in other disciplines and industries may also be considered.

  • Proven leadership

  • Previous pharmaceutical or healthcare experience is a plus, but not a requirement

  • Searches for solutions through solid critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Curious, with a strong desire to learn IT and the business, in order to drive continuous improvement and innovative change; not satisfied with the status quo

  • Passion about improving healthcare, by recognizing how information and technology applied at the right time, at the right moment, and in the right manner, can enable our business to deliver improved outcomes for our customers.

  • All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their performance over the course of their summer internship.
