Position Brand Description:

Provides support for operations by performing a variety tasks to provide maximum up-time and reliable operation of manufacturing. A major portion of the Mechanic- Maintenance responsibility consists of Line support.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • This position requires strong attention to detail.

  • Possess good mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting abilities.

  • Actively participates in the departmental safety program to ensure both personal safety and that of co-workers.

  • Maintains 100% completion of required safety training.

  • Applies all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety-related permits/ procedures whenever applicable.

  • Willingly participates in departmental safety initiatives.

  • Requires good verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate with bothinternal partners (production and quality control) and outside resources to achieve results.

  • Regularly provides feedback on work status to supervision and other maintenance support personnel.

  • Required to use computer applications.

  • Must provide accurate, complete and legible work order documentation on both paper copy (when required) and in GMARS.

  • A technical resource for customers to share knowledge of the craft and acquired knowledge of building systems in support of equipment engineering, modifications, and trouble shooting efforts.

  • Overtime required to support shutdowns/vacations

  • Night shift 5:45pm – 5:45am 3-2-2-3
