  • The Operator/Mechanic position will be responsible for both routine operations and as well as basic maintenance of the process equipment in the operational area.

  • Operator Objectives

  • Ensure strict compliance with established policies/procedures (Safety, Production Procedures, Sanitization, Gowning, Etc.) Completion of training and qualifications to stay current and qualified to perform job.

  • Adhere to Parenteral Plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environment

  • Perform sanitizations in classified areas to maintain the sterility of the area, operation, and product.

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product

  • Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation following Good Documentation Practices

  • Setup and perform operations task in both aseptic and non-aseptic processes

  • Mechanic Objectives

  • Initial machine set-up

  • Machine Change overs

  • Initial troubleshooting

  • Basic machine adjustments (i.e. above the line) / equipment cleaning (i.e. sensors)

  • Component replacements, plug-and-play sensor replacements, equipment lubrication

  • Simple alignment checks

  • Routine point of communication with maintenance re: state of the line

  • Shadow/learn/support Engineering / Maintenance during building shutdowns

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Technical High school diploma/GED

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable

  • Demonstrated Mechanical Aptitude / Mechatronics

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic computer skills, with capability to learn in more detail

  • Excellent documentation skills

Additional Information:

  • Starting work schedule is 8hr dayshift with required overtime and must be flexible to transition to 12hr night shift to support the project schedule which could consist of multiple weeks.

  • Final shift schedule for this position is 12hr days (3-2-2-3) after the project phase is completed

  • Overtime work may be required

  • Some of the products in Parenteral Operations are known allergens and consequently, a post offer allergy test may be required.
