Responsibilities:

The Release Manager is responsible for bringing diverse groups and roles together to ensure the successful delivery of innovative product releases for our customers. The Release Manager plays integral role in coordinating across Digital Health, Business Units and supporting functional groups to define and deliver product and platform releases with agility. This includes tight coordination with Product Owners, Business Leads, Design Leads, Execution Leads, Technical Leads and other roles. The Release Manager activities include ensuring appropriate governance, story mapping, sprint mapping, facilitating product &/or scrum of scrum meetings & budget tracking. In addition, the Release Manager will help coach and evolve Digital Health’s agile practices.

  • Responsible for working with Digital Health Team, Business Units and supporting functional groups to define, execute and deliver assigned Product and Platform portfolio.

  • Responsible for release planning, progress monitoring and delivery tracking for assigned Product and Platform portfolio.

  • Continued learning, team coaching and evolution of Digital Health’s Agile methodology/frameworks.

  • Responsible for communications with Digital Health and Business stakeholders for assigned Product and Platform portfolio.

  • Responsible for assigned Product and Platform budget coordination, including annual business plan, strategic planning and monthly forecasting.

  • Responsible for engaging with assigned portfolio’s Digital Health’s delivery teams and business unit’s initiative team’s governance.

  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Product and Platform goals.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science or Arts

  • 5+ years of managing large &/or complex programs / initiatives.

  • 3+ years of experience with Agile practices (SAFe, Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

  • 3+ years coordinating external suppliers &/or partners with internal teams to support product delivery

  • 3+ years experience with business planning and budget coordination activities.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) product development or working in a regulated environment.

  • Experience with Agile coaching, ceremonies, and tools (e.g. Jira, confluence, etc.).

  • Ability to build strong cross functional relationships. Effective teamwork, interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills; ability to collaborate and build relationships with peers and business partners.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and team building skills (e.g., effective coaching and feedback).

  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams, complex project teams and innovation projects in a virtual manner.

  • Excellent self-management and organizational skills. Able to manage a diverse workload, set personal priorities and adjust as needed.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, without direct authority to ensure alignment to common methods and approaches necessary to achieving required outcomes.

  • Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision skills. Able to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes, solve unique and complex problems.

  • This position will report to the Digital Health Release Advisor.

  • Travel <10%
