Lilly is hiring! Our ADME Bioanalytical group is a newly formed team with a focus on supporting our preclinical and clinical research discovery efforts. Our team works with internal and external collaborators to coordinate and validate bioanalytical research and methods at contract laboratories. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist to join our fast-paced, interdisciplinary team. Do you have experience in scientific oversight of research with external partners/CROs? This role requires an understanding of development and validation of bioanalytical methods and studies performed in an industry setting. You will manage the alliances with CROs for bioanalytical research as it relates to ADME activities at Lilly. We look forward to seeing your application and having you on our team!

The bioanalytical team supports all modalities (small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides and biologics), across bioanalytical platforms (LC/MS, ligand binding, PCR) and spanning both discovery (non-GLP) and development projects (GLP). We must work seamlessly to ensure the delivery of the bioanalytical results needed to drive the portfolio forward. Some responsibilities in this role are:

  • Lead all aspects of external collaborations to execute portfolio needs including consistent delivery to timelines, including accelerated timelines

  • Monitor and manage metrics associated with assigned external partnerships.

  • Provide bioanalytical support for portfolio including complex method development and troubleshooting.

  • Address innovative bioanalytical challenges.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, non-clinical and clinical teams and ADME leadership.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, and R&D Operations as needed.

  • Interacts with customers and other partners on bioanalytical issues.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in scientific field.

Additional Preferences

  • 2 years of relevant experience in industry setting with familiarity of regulatory landscape.

  • Hands on laboratory experience with bioanalytical methods/assays

  • Experience in bioanalytical analysis including developing and troubleshooting GLP assays.

  • Familiarity with related systems and applications.

  • Understanding of the current BMV guidance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with external laboratories.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative

  • Proficient written and spoken English language skills including effective verbal communication
