Lilly is seeking a transformational Digital Product Owner to lead the transformation of Lilly.com to become a consumer-first web property that puts our patients first, crafting a coordinated experience that supports them through each stage of the journey toward better health.

Translating Lilly’s Brand Truth of “Health Above All” and accelerating the shift to a consumer-first attitude, we have the opportunity to now translate that belief, and “get better” for patients in how we show up across digital channels. A critical first step is reimagining of our enterprise site’s role in serving as the single front-door supporting patients through their experiences with Lilly products and services, which today, exist across multiple digital experiences.

The Lilly.com Product Owner will help us envision and deliver a Lilly.com that pulls through our new Master-brand strategy and delivers a best-in-any class digital experience. Our ambition is not only to build a more integrated and human-centered digital experience, but to shatter exceptions for design quality typically associated with the pharmaceutical industry and deliver a digital experience that matches the excellence of the most pioneering and customer-focused companies globally. The ideal candidate will orchestrate the integration of diverse experiences into a seamless, single-entry point across products, services and science that prioritizes patient engagement and information accessibility. The Lilly.com Product Owner will work collaboratively with Lilly collaborators who rely upon the current site to communicate to other important audiences such as investors, prospective employees and partners, policymakers, media and others, as well as those who will rely upon the reimagined site to deliver critical information to customers.

The Lilly.com Product Owner will report to the Head of Digital Engagement and join leaders from the Enterprise Website Team, Social Media Center of Excellence, and Search Capabilities Team to collectively design and deploy integrated, innovative, and relevant digital marketing strategies, connections, and solutions that improve health outcomes and address timely business needs across Customers, Business Units, Functions, and Geographies – ultimately helping Lilly deliver on its purpose to make life better for people around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cohesive vision and comprehensive strategy to transform Lilly.com into a consumer-oriented website that delivers a best-in-any-class experience for all users.

  • Create and lead a comprehensive product roadmap and backlog that balances business objectives, stakeholder and user needs, scope, timelines and resources to ensure on-time delivery and continuous iteration for a new Lilly.com.

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Engineering, Design, and Research to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and detailed product features.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer and the business during design and development to provide clear guidance and make effective decisions on trade-offs throughout the devilry process.

  • Define success metrics and supervise site performance and analytics to deliver data-driven insights that enhance user experience, increase engagement, and drive conversion.

  • Collaborate with Medical, Legal and Regulatory partners to ensure content and functionality are compliant and meet any relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.

  • Partner with user research teams to gather feedback, data and insight to continuously evolve the experience based on user behavior, preferences and changing market or competitive dynamics.

  • Keep a keen eye on the external landscape to identify trends in and outside of industry, emerging technologies, and standard methodologies that ensure we continuously delving innovative and effective digital experiences.

  • Facilitate updates and reviews with senior leadership and collaborators to drive alignment on product progress and decisions, gather feedback, evaluate performance, and secure vital resources.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 10+ years of experience in a digital product ownership, management or a similar strategic role in related field.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

Additional Preferences:

  • Demonstrable expertise leading digital products with cross-functional partners. Ideal candidates will have experience with large-scale redesigns, including integration of multiple digital properties to a single destination.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, with a history of successful negotiation and relationship building

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Consistent record of developing and implementing successful web product strategies

  • Experience working with external partners to deliver web experiences

  • Strong understanding and experience with the user-centered design process, UX principles and standard methodologies for digital products.

  • Cross-functional marketing and operations agility within a highly matrixed organization. Strong ability to collaborate, lead, and prioritize across multiple work streams and teams.

  • Ability to translate customer/collaborator insights and strategies into effective enterprise marketing/communications plans.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to thrive in a sophisticated, dynamic, changing, and ambiguous environment to effectively resolve complexities. i

  • Previous experience scaling new functional and digital capabilities across geographies

  • Consistent record of operational compliance within the pharma industry; understanding of global digital regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR and CCPA).

  • Demonstrated and successful history leading large-scale global programs and/or systems with ownership of both strategic, operational, and tactical work plans.

  • Ability to effectively influence across all levels, within and outside of functional area, and outside the corporation.

  • Knowledge of internal content approval processes

  • Strong organizational change management skills, conflict resolution skills and ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company
