Responsibilities:

  • Understands and complies with corporate and departmental procedures including good documentation practices and safety regulations.

  • Helps ensure that people and their environment are safe and that company policies concerning safety are followed.

  • Works with other technical staff to gather experimental data for development activities.

  • Assembles, operates, disassembles, and cleans manufacturing and characterization equipment used in the development of solid oral dosage forms.

  • Works to understand process equipment design, utilization, and operation and applies that knowledge to ongoing project support.

  • Executes written and verbal directions related to development activities.

  • Keeps accurate documentation including proper use of laboratory notebooks or pilot plant executable records, and provides written summaries when requested.

  • Has basic understanding of computer systems and programs (MS Word and Excel) as well as desire to learn new systems.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required or GED.

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to use respirator(s) (e.g., PAPRs, Bullard Hoods, disposable particulate respirator, etc.).

  • Strong technical skills with experience as a hands-on contributor in a laboratory and or pilot plant environment.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated collaborative abilities in a team environment.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and handle ambiguity.
