Lilly Sr Assistant-HR Direct-FDE in Indianapolis, Indiana



  • A balance of responsibilities will be determined in regards to needs of business, employees and customers and may include exclusive or partial responsibilities as follows:

  • Provide HR answers to our customers via phone, chat and web-form on a breadth of HR topics in a timely, quality-focused, customer-friendly manner (up to 80-90% of time may be spent answering calls, conducting research, issue resolution, and documentation). Extensive training is necessary for breadth of knowledge.

  • Accurately record all interactions in the case management system. Documentation is to be concise, thorough, and accurate in accordance with Lilly standards

  • Support various US processes through technology, communication, compliance and ownership.

  • Assist employees with navigating of systems, such as: My Workplace, Time entry, LillyNow, etc.

  • Support the HR Organization in regards to HR Data Management; Review and process all requests in a timely and accurate manner within the HRM system. Information Management and data management activities to ensure accuracy of the

  • Contribute positively to a strong team environment while maintaining a focus on developing and maintaining effective working relationships with HR Business Partners.

  • Participate in key projects to support HR initiatives, determine the best way to gather data, and implement improvements to existing processes and solutions.

  • Create, Promote and Maintain Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with Lilly Policies, procedures and standards.

  • At least 2 years previous HR experience

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work as changes occur

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and SAP

  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

  • Demonstrated attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written to all levels of the organization

  • Fundamental HR policy and procedure knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment and work needs

Additional Information:

  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed duration of two years with potential to extend annually for up to 4 years.
