Position Brand Description:

The Global Marketing Shared Services organization is a hosted function within the Lilly Diabetes Business Unit that includes: Global Market Research, Global Customer Operations, Global Marketing Operations, Global Customer Engagement, Multi-Channel Engagement Hubs, Lilly Marketing & Sales Capabilities.

The Social Media Business Analyst will serve as the link between the IT and Social Media teams across the Enterprise, including Marketing, Market Research, Corporate Affairs, and New Product Planning. This role will be specifically charged with maximizing the value of the Social Media channel by:

  1. Continuously improving the capabilities and services provided by the IT Social Media team

  2. Providing Global and Regional Brand Teams with the appropriate tools to monitor and improve effectiveness

The base expectations for this role are as follows:

  • Engages with the business and dedicatedly seeks opportunities for IT to deliver value to the business

  • Authors business cases which document alternatives and cost/benefit analysis

  • Analyses existing business processes and participates in reengineering efforts

  • Understands business requirements and effectively translates business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa.

  • Leads the definition and gathering of requirements and proposes changes to existing services and capabilities

  • Provides business process expertise to technical resources

  • Ensures appropriate business roles are engaged in solution execution

  • Possesses knowledge of regulatory, legal, or quality requirements (privacy regulations, GxP, etc.)

  • Monitors the performance of suppliers per agreed upon SLAs

  • Work with business operations lead and build Social roadmap based on the business priorities

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  1. Work with the Global Commercial Operations team and the Business Units to implement the Social Media capabilities within the overarching Global Multi-Channel Engagement Strategy.

  2. Work with regional and affiliate teams on the roll-out and adoption of Social Media tools and capabilities.

  3. Develop IT standards and guidelines associated with the Social channel.

  4. Serve as an IT SME supporting the development of Playbooks, Training and User Guides

  5. Gather and share best-practices across all business units and geographies.

  6. Partner with Business SMEs, Privacy, Project Management, Quality and Support to enable new functionality within the email platforms per the Business Unit Change Control Process.

  7. Analyze supplier performance in order to assure compliance with service-level agreements and the continuous improvement of services, including activities such as:

  • License & Professional Services Management

  • Supplier Governance

  • Help Desk Training

  • Product Enhancement & Software Issue/Bug Management

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Facebook business manager experience

  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing & composing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge * Basic knowledge of web design and web development.

  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability

  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations preferred but not required
