The Business QA Representative for Global SAP Materials and Operations is responsible for interacting with both the quality/business and IT organizations to ensure that the global IT systems meet the Quality Management System requirements and are in a GMP and CSQ validated and stable state. The Business QA Representative for Global SAP Materials and Operations plays an integral role as a customer liaison in the development of system training, enhancements, reports, bug fixes and trouble-shooting user’s issues that arise.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Subject Matter Expert for CGMP’s and business requirements for the IT system

  • Represent business area requirements within SAP (and related solutions) and to influence future direction of QM module

  • Accountable for maintaining global quality management SOP’s and User Guides for the business partners.

  • Provide Business Quality Analyst support for SAP, and other global IT systems, including document approvals for GMP related changes

  • Provide consulting support to manufacturing operations and affiliates on interpretation and implementation of Lilly global quality systems.

  • Provide input for the periodic power user forums and face-to-face power user forums as needed.

  • Provide communication to site QA/QC on system changes/issues

  • Consult with site/global QA/QC/CSQ to resolve related quality issues.

  • Provide Change Feasibility Review (CFR) support for SAP and/or determine GMP/non-GMP impact for all system changes

  • Assist business partners in defining requirements and in developing business cases.

  • Provide input to projects - understanding business impact and evaluating technical options.

  • Assist external service providers in prioritization, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of trouble tickets.

  • Partner with other IT groups to manage integration and solutions.

  • Enforce standards and procedures within the team and with the external service providers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education/ Experience requirement to perform the position

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)

  • Three to five years of work with SAP.

Additional Skills/ Preferences

  • Competency on SAP design and configuration and related functionality supporting functional business process.

  • Understanding of business integration points between functional modules.

  • SAP knowledge from a functional and/or configuration perspective.

  • Knowledge of business process, data and application architecture as it pertains to the SAP solution

  • Project Management skills

  • Understanding of master and transactional data used in SAP related business process

  • Effective Analytical, problem solving and investigative skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form

  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and team work
