The Summer Experience Program is a paid, eight-week summer professional development program that consists of hands-on experience. The Summer Experience Program is designed to provide early career diverse students exposure to corporate life.

Summer Experience students have an opportunity to:

  • Leverage and build critical new skills and professional networks

  • Gain real-world experience and insight on Lilly and the pharmaceutical industry

  • Receive mentoring from a Lilly employee providing professional development

Basic Qualifications:

  • Academically accomplished students entering their first and second year of college in central Indiana or currently completing their High School Diploma

  • Must be 18 years of age to submit information.

  • Must have the ability to obtain work authorization in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence

  • Clearly demonstrated analytical thought and aptitude

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

  • Language fluency in English (written and verbal)
