This role is responsible for technical design, development, implementation and/or execution of projects supporting Lilly business functions. Essential to this role is the collaboration with other technical leaders, business partners, and internal/external IT suppliers to deliver initiatives in alignment with organizational strategy, regulatory and guiding principles. This role requires a technical foundation and at minimum, the ability to translate business process into technical concepts. Deliverables and projects of a Technologist will be used to influence information, business strategies, and solution designs to achieve strategic outcomes. Specific objectives include:
Identifying innovative solutions to meet business needs and streamline IT processes
Leveraging technical knowledge to achieve business outcomes.
Developing technical solutions utilizing iterative development methodologies and repeatable processes.
Driving process efficiency through system enhancement and leveraging technical roadmaps
Working with vendor resources to influence technical decisions for IT products.
Defining, supporting and or reconfiguring workflows and system connections
Demonstrating high learning agility for new technology, its use and its ability to solve problems.
Evaluating technical solution (s) and potential impact to program/portfolio
Designing and developing technology solutions in collaboration with business partners.

Upon acceptance of the Technologist role, you will join our 2-year Eli Lilly Information Technology Experience (ELITE)_program which provides you with mentoring, introductory technical skills, transferable leadership skills, applied opportunities, and customer experiences. This program is the first step in our People Empowerment Program for Information Technology program, which exists to engage, energize, and encourage all Information and Digital Solutions employees. Through these programs, you will establish relationships outside of your current business area that will help you deliver in your current role and explore future opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, Security or another relevant computer and technical program
Expected graduation by August 2023
Skills/Preferences Desired Experience:
Solid skills in problem analysis and solving
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Proven teamwork/interpersonal skills
Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom
Familiarity with design, development, and operational methodologies (I.e. Agile, Waterfall, ITIL)
Passion for working on a team from diverse backgrounds
Familiarity with gathering and writing technical requirements.
Familiarity with Agile concepts, methodology and framework.
