Manufacturing Quality Information Digital Solutions ( MQ IDS) supports operational excellence and productivity efforts through utilization of information and technology. This includes maximizing and exploiting existing systems at all levels, benchmarking and replicating as much as possible and using electronically captured data to drive process improvements, productivity & increase efficiency.
The MQ IDS Financial Operations Manager position will be part of the MQ IDS Operations team that supports both Global MQ IDS and Site MQ IDS teams. The position will focus on 3 major areas:
Financial & Headcount Analysis
Act as main contact point for Capital planning and tracking for MQ IDS, including estimating CAPEX and OPEX over time for our capital programs.
Track MQ IDS capital plan and local capital targets.
Provide guidance on Capital & Financial policies as they apply to MQ IDS (e.g Policy 6g, FRAP, depreciation schedules, etc).
Provide guidance to project teams for planning & estimating capital projects and depreciation.
Establish standards for MQ IDS (e.g. consistent WBS, labor tracking)
Provide assistance to project teams on capping (creation of assets) and guidance on depreciation, including costs and timing.
Conduct reviews for asset disposal as needed.
Review utilization of applications and services to identify ways to decrease costs.
Represent MQ IDS in the Cloud Financial Management and seek savings opportunities.
Provide visibility to extended support costs and provide recommendations for cost savings.
Analyze application portfolio management data (APM), including tracking of application rationalization.
Serve as M&Q rep on the Cloud Financial Mgmt team.
Monitor chargebacks from corporate IDS teams to MQ IDS and provide visibility of costs to MQ IDS leadership.
Work with project teams to establish value metrics and mechanisms to track for new programs (sunrise-sunset initiative).
Own the use of the MQ business case template (CIDM) and coach the organization on the use of it.
Champion the use of CMDB for configuration item (CI) mapping to serices and association of value at CI level.
Work with ITAM (IT Asset Management) program on goals and objectives and align with MQ IDS activities.
Assist with costing of the Application Configuration to determine the values for the Allocation model.
Review MQ IDS procurement activities to look for minority spend where it may be appropriate.
Be point of contact for MQ IDS for Buy@Lilly (Ariba).
Working with the MQ IDS Strategic Plan and Business Plan teams to assist with decisions on OPEX/CAPEX/HC on the large capital programs.
BS or MS in IT, Finance, Engineering, or related field
Basic understanding of Financial/Accounting concepts (expenses, capital, depreciation, general cost accounting, NPV, ATS, etc)
Understanding of IT Life Cycle management (LSEF) , IT Business Process Model, S95 model, and other IT processes (WwTP, CSV, etc)

Strong ability to influence leadership
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex topics (written/oral)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferable to have knowledge of CMDB, Cloud/AWS, EOS but not required.
Lean Six Sigma, Lean, or Continuous Improvement beneficial.
Occasional travel may be required.
