Position Title: IT Infrastructure Professional

Reporting To IT Manager

Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:

The IT Infrastructure Professional is part of the IT team. The IT team has responsibility for a wide variety of systems both in administrative and manufacturing functions. The IT Infrastructure Professional's responsibilities include (a) supporting existing Infrastructure and helping the business and broader IT team to get maximum value from that infrastructure, and (b) acting as a project leader or project team member with the implementation of new IT infrastructure. S/he is expected to develop an understanding of the business and thereby help the organisation to make the most effective use of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver / Implement IT solutions that facilitate business needs.

  • Support and maintain an ever-growing multi-layered network environment.

  • Support and maintain site business and manufacturing networking environments and deploy network devices and services accordingly (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)

  • Define, document, and apply infrastructure standards.

  • Optimise network performance to ensure network availability and resilience.

  • Troubleshoot & diagnose network and site infrastructure issues.

  • Collaborate with global network architects on network design & optimisation

  • Collaborate with process automation on the delivery and support of IT / OT integration solutions.

  • Maintain and manage DMZ and firewall environments and rulesets.

  • Maintaining and management of ongoing hardware and software life cycle management activities.

  • Communicating with business partner/owner to schedule network outages and to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with corporate Lilly Quality Standards and Practices (e.g., Change Management, Periodic Reviews, data integrity requirements etc.).

  • Representing the site at corporate groups and external parties (e.g., vendors, consortiums).

  • Developing a 'network' of corporate contacts and resources.

  • Provide troubleshooting/help to broader IT department and cross functional business areas.

  • Developing project proposals, schedules and identifying associated resource needs.

  • Coordinating internal and external resources.

  • Budgetary management.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, cyber security standards and implications to existing systems.

  • Provide accurate time and resource estimates for all assigned tasks.

  • Participate in and report at team meetings.

  • Participate in and support site audits.

  • Develop and maintain system SOPs.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years’ experience delivering and supporting IT infrastructure /networks.

  • Cisco Certified or equivalent experience.

  • Pharma experience and knowledge of GMP, CSV and data integrity requirements

  • Demonstrated learning agility both technically as well as business processes and applications.

  • Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, learn new business processes and identify opportunities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Active listening and leadership skills.

Desired Skills

  • Project management experience.

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0.

  • Familiar with Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure platforms and ISA S95 architecture / standard.

  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.

  • Knowledge of WhatsUp Gold and SolarWinds network monitoring tools.

  • ITIL training / certification.

Educational Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and / or equivalent experience.
