Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the Lebanon Plant 1 (LP1) team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the organization, the facility and the culture to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.

What you'll do :

The role will support Lilly’s manufacturing site logistic flow from in-bound to out-bound, supply material to shop floor, and storing of material in warehouses. The warehouse management solution ( eWM ) will have a high integration with automated equipment at site, like for example automated warehouses and manufacturing execution system (MES). The scope of the logistics support will include additional solutions beyond eWM, like schedule modeling system, data analytics, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand how the logistics applications and tools integrate with other critical systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and Process Automation.

  • Support the implementation of SAP eWM, become an expert in the SAP eWM technology and its integration to additional SAP Supply Chain modules. Learn the logistics business processes, scheduling, applications, tools, etc.

  • Be forward thinking with respect to technical evolutions within the Supply Chain systems landscape which help to improve the user experience or functionality of the offering.

  • Contribute in projects, understanding business impact, evaluating/recommending technical options.

  • Support site implementation activities, integration to other site functions, and site preparation activities.

  • Work with site business area, IT Architects, MES architects, and Data Analytics architects to implement the Next Gen Warehouse Solutions landscape to meet business needs most effectively.

  • Work with IT groups like Global Services, Global Infrastructure to support delivery of infrastructure for warehouse solutions to our enterprise.

  • Work with business areas on cross-organizational issues.

  • Promote process improvement and innovation to drive business process optimization.

  • Adhere to corporate computer systems validation policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with major in Computerized Information System, Computer Science, Programming or Engineering or similar area.

  • Two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, preferred in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills:

  • System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Knowledge: Understand the process of developing information systems, from initial planning to disposition.

  • cGMP Familiarity: Be aware of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in regulated industries.

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Be skilled in using Microsoft Office tools.

  • Project Management and Leadership Abilities (highly recommended).

  • Effective Interpersonal Communication and relationship building with others.

  • Supervised Independence: Work with occasional supervision.

  • Retain Information: Memorize details and concepts.

  • Time Management: Work effectively under time constraints.

  • Decision-Making: Make informed choices.

  • Critical Thinking: Use sound judgment in unique circumstances.
