Lilly Associate – Master Data Analyst-SAP in Lebanon, Indiana

Lilly is currently constructing an advanced manufacturing facility for production of API molecules located in Lebanon, IN. This facility is Lilly’s largest investment in manufacturing capacity and is intended to provide APIs for current and future products, including new modalities. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the Lebanon Plant 1 (LP1) leadership team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to build the organization, the facility and the culture to enable a successful startup into GMP manufacturing operations.

The Supply Chain organization has responsibility for scheduling the manufacturing processes for Lebanon API site and supporting manufacturing with all inbound and outbound material flows. The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role within the organization by providing and maintaining the fundamental master data set residing in SAP and manufacturing execution systems (MES) to the site. The initial phase of the project will require extensive cross-functional work with procurement, quality, and warehouse operations to deliver an operational SAP/MES system. As the site transitions to the production phase, the team will also be involved in tracking supply chain metrics and driving continuous improvement. They will work closely with multiple teams across the site to manage data change requests, solve technical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement activities around Master Data.

As a Master Data Analyst, you will:

  • Develop and maintain key data and data design in SAP (Material Master, Bill of Materials, Recipes, Resource, Purchasing-Info Records and Warehousing) and associated systems

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials

  • Ensure global data consistence and conformance to SOPs while running master data updates due to process or system changes.

  • Serve as a key member of the SAP Implementation Project Team during the greenfield site construction/startup phase.

  • Contribute to global initiatives for Master Data Management, as required, and attend select Power User forums to share best practices with peers

  • Generate OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence) metrics and Pareto analyses

  • Drive process improvement initiatives which could include:

  • Developing and maintaining DSP flows, using appropriate tools / reports to track maintenance efforts, data accuracy, and data completeness

  • Contribute in annual standard costing assessment in readiness for Business Planning and drive the annual review of planning data

  • Troubleshoot SAP or MES execution problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions

  • Investigate deviations and provide impact assessments for change management

  • Maintain a safe workplace through proper ergonomic practices

  • Maintain a state of compliance (learning plan, SOP adherence, etc.)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or

  • High-school diploma with 5+ years relevant SAP work experience

Additional Preferences:

  • SAP / Master Data experience in Material Master creation and maintenance

  • Knowledge / Experience in Manufacturing, Packaging, and/or Customer Service

  • Strong organizational and Project Management skills

  • Strong ability to collaborate, communicate and build positive relationships

  • Dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences

  • Proficient in using MRP systems, SAP software, and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting

Other Information:

  • 8 hour work days – Monday through Friday

  • May need to be available off shift and respond to operational issues as-needed

  • Minimal travel required (<5%)
