Lilly is currently constructing a cutting edge facility for the manufacture of new modalities including Gene Therapy in Lebanon, Indiana. This facility will be Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing site focused on the delivery of the next wave of innovative products at Lilly. It will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety, quality, and process performance. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will help to start up the facility for both clinical and commercial supply. 

This is an exciting opportunity to help start up a state-of-the-art facility and build a manufacturing supply chain from ground-up.

The Supply Chain organization has responsibility for scheduling the manufacturing processes for Lebanon Advanced Therapies site and supporting manufacturing with all inbound and outbound material flows.

The Supply Chain Operations Associate plays a critical role within the Supply Chain organization by serving as the launch leader for new products, managing capital projects, and leading OpEx initiatives within the warehouse and supply chain processes. The initial phase of the project will require extensive cross-functional work with procurement, quality, master data, and warehouse operations to deliver an operational SAP system. As the site transitions to the production phase, the Supply Chain Operations Associate will be broadly responsible for all change management activities within the warehouse and supply chain.

As a Supply Chain Operations Associate, you will:

  • Provide operational and project support for the site Supply Chain team, including product forecasting and planning, inventory control, purchasing, customer support, etc

  • Implement local capital projects aligned with the site strategy

  • Use individual initiative to deliver analysis, propose solutions, and work with a variety of groups to develop and deliver solutions

  • Provide support for specific manufacturing and strategic initiatives. Examples of such initiatives are IT systems updates, manufacturing sourcing changes, long range planning, etc.

  • Manage all projects within the local Change Control system and operate as a project manager for the set-up of new supply chains.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of new and revised processes and procedures as required.

  • Provide analysis of specific operational or business processes as identified by management. Design, and develop for approval, efficiency improvements. Implement and seek additional opportunities for replication.

  • Use OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain) processes and metrics to analyze supply chain performance, define root causes, drive improvement, and maintain OSSCE A class performance.

  • Maintain a safe workplace through proper ergonomic practices (WorkPace compliance and use of ergo equipment)

  • Maintain a state of compliance (learning plan, SOP adherence, etc.)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degreein life sciences, supply chain, or engineering (strong preference for an engineering degree)

  • 3+ years of operational or supply chain experience

Additional Preferences:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage/own multiple tasks or projects simultaneously

  • Warehouse or Supply Chain experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a highly-regulated environment

  • Previous experience using SAP

  • Prior experience working on projects to introduceproducts into new markets

  • Experience working across geographical boundaries with an appreciation of cultural diversity

Other Information:

  • Normal workday: 8 hour days – Monday through Friday.

  • Must be flexible to attend meetings or support off-shifts as necessary.

  • Some US and OUS travel may be required (<10%)
