Job Description
As a Controller, you will be responsible for:
Supporting Regional CFO for delivering accurate, robust and timely Financial Statements for Mexico, validated through regular internal and external audits.
Responsible for the Governance of the journal voucher review, account reconciliation review, and inter-company processes.
Responsible for the monthly US GAAP and Local GAAP trial balance review process.
Maintain strong processes to support a robust review and deep understanding of monthly Trial Balances.
Responsible for SOx compliance & coordination with CAS team.
Responsible of the employee´s expense reporting monitoring controls
Responsible of the local procedures validating alignment with global procedures
Influence and lead effectively to ensure a strong control environment and compliance, taking account of agreed materiality.
Support HR on reviewing USGAAP, Local GAAP and Tax compliance in pension plan and employee benefits accounting
Partner with the affiliate on local statutory requirements and reporting/tax matters; acting as advisor/subject matter expert on complex US GAAP accounting treatments and corporate policy/procedures interpretation, leveraging expertise from Corporate Centre (US) as appropriate.
Responsible for Tax Compliance and implementation of new tax requirements
Responsible of Transfer Price compliance
Review financial performance metrics: DSO, BDR, DPO, Inventory turn over
Support corporate initiatives – spin off, dividends, mergers, etc
Create and implement improvement processes: robots, power BI
People performance oversight, internal and external people, coaching, people development.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
US GAAP and NIF accounting
Tax Compliance knowledge
Experience in Tax audits
Basic Transfer Price knowledge
Controllership / Finance management experience gained in a Big 4 Firm (5 years minimum)
Strong Systems Experience (e.g. SAP & Excel)
Strong interpersonal, relationship building and influencing skills; ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands.
Experience supervising people
Fluent English communication
