Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
Using agile methodology, you will work with a team to develop and deploy pipelines for processing and analyzing omics data on our cloud-based data analysis platform.
Be a core contributor to data science projects using machine and deep learning for insight generation for therapeutics discovery and development.
Build relationships with LRL colleagues by listening, understanding the ask, presenting ideas, and giving/receiving honest feedback. Present projects and ideas to leadership within IDS and LRL.
Design, develop, and deploy new data visualization tools on our data visualization platform.
Use software engineering best practices (comprehensive testing, version control, documentation, etc.).
Help evaluate 3rd party services/technologies that are being used or are being considered by the group.
Understand technical decisions being made by the group or the business and anticipate any issues that may arise from those decisions.
Be mindful of security compliance when designing new capabilities.
Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience or Master’s Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or Science related discipline.
Experience with data management, data visualizations, and software development.
Knowledge of some of the main programming languages used in life sciences (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
Familiar with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Spotfire.
Ability to learn and adapt as the science/technology needs change.
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
Familiarity with software development and version control using Git.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively on a diverse team with different viewpoints.
Experience with data analysis pipeline development.
Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
