The Systems Integrator position is a member of the North American Logistics Operations (NALO) organization within Eli Lilly and Company. NALO distributes Lilly products, samples and promotional materials for US, Canada and Puerto Rico. It also supports shipments of Lilly products to Lilly affiliates around the world.

As a Systems Integrator you will be responsible for all integrations between local applications and automation, as well as integrations with enterprise applications.

  • Serve as the area expert for all NALO local applications including: integrations between local information delivery systems, integration with automation equipment, and integration with global applications.

  • Document warehouse hardware configuration – printers/RF-mobile devices/scales, local bolt-on

  • Understand existing business processes and contribute to reengineering efforts, seeking opportunities for IT to deliver business value

  • Execute a strategic and detailed approach to investigate business requirements

  • Develop business case and propose alternative solutions using cost/benefit analysis and proposes one alternative based on analysis results

  • Effectively document and translate business requirement into technical terms, and vice versa

  • Identify and implement technical requirements using appropriate technology, application, process, solution, and information solutions

  • Network with appropriate IT colleagues to identify solutions to meet business partners’ needs

  • Work with the Service Delivery Leader to develop application release schedules

  • Design and document the system/technical requirements and provide business process subject-matter expertise to developers

  • Leads design reviews and document design decisions to ensure traceability of requirements

  • Build testing requirements (test cases/scenarios, test data requirements, test environments, etc.)

  • Execute testing, documenting and tracking of test defects

  • Understand and follow the applicable Lilly Standards and Quality rules

  • Lead and execute projects, understanding business impact, quantifying resources, evaluating technical options and delivering results on time

  • Provide assistance to on-site contractors’ with investigating and solving complex problems/incidents per IT Service Management expectations

  • Responsible for ensuring data integrity and good documentation practices while performing job tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. Computer Science/Information Management or similar

  • 3 years (minimum) previous computer system support experience in an operational environment

  • Experience in IT solution & integration development, business analyst role (coding, validating, testing; implementing)

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Effective analytical, problem solving and investigative skills. Motivation to deliver

  • Knowledge of solution delivery and service management processes

  • Knowledge of or experiencing using distributed solutions, commercial configurable software (COTS) suppliers, and business intelligence

  • Ability to plan small projects at a task level that can be successfully executed

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and direction to management, customers, and support staff

  • Ability to influence others to adopt different point of view or concept

  • Knowledge of warehouse management & logistics standard methodologies

  • Knowledge of Computer Systems Quality & Validation Practices

  • Experience with Exacta and Worldlink software

  • Proficient experience using basic SQL to generate Oracle and Microsoft SQL database queries to build scripts, in order to resolve incidents, gather data, or generate reports.

  • Experience crafting reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
