Key Responsibilities:

The Supervisor-North American Logistics Operations (NALO) is responsible for front line leadership of their Operations Team at NALO, with primary responsibility at the Plainfield Distribution Center and as needed support at the Enfield and Fresno Distribution Centers. Support NALO initiatives including safety first, quality always, delivery, and cost.

Safety First:

  • Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable, compliant, and safely performs their jobs in accordance with Lilly HSE and regulatory requirements.

Quality Always:

  • Ensures that all team members are knowledgeable and compliant with meeting quality standards as defined by cGMPs, the Global Quality Standards, and local procedures.

  • Includes ensuring Data Integrity and good documentation practices are utilized by all team members while performing all job tasks and documenting work.

Lead People:

  • Provide all team members with guidance, direction, and supervision. Includes performance management and development planning for all team members.

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse

  • Manage Operations Team – assign tasks, ensure proper resource allocation

  • Receive pharmaceutical finished products, packaging components, and other purchased materials. This includes unloading trucks, verifying quantities received, and entering the receipt into SAP (if required)

  • Oversee replenishment/pick/pack operations to ensure accuracy and quality

  • Ship finished pharmaceutical products to wholesalers, sales representatives and physicians. Will also include shipping to other Lilly distribution centers.

  • Ensure customer service goals/commitment levels are met and that the right product gets to the right patient at the right time.

  • Lead and Support investigations for all maintenance related HSE and Quality deviations.

Security:

  • Ensure all team members are knowledgeable and follow security requirements as outlined in facility SOP’s.

Financial / Productivity:

  • Ensure budget commitments are met and drive productivity initiatives for warehouse operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School education, associate degree or equivalent experience.

  • Five (5) years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical environment.

  • Experience working in a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulated environment.

  • Good communications and documentation skills.

  • Strong self-management and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of cGMP’s.

  • Ability to work well as member of a cross functional team including HSE, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality.

  • Experience with the principles of lean manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Additional Information

  • Requires off-hours support for equipment operating 24/7.

  • Position will be provided a cell phone and is expected to provide off-hours support for critical equipment issues.

  • Occasional travel to Enfield, CT and Fresno, CA is required (normally 5 – 15%).

  • Extreme temperatures may be encountered as part of this position (chill rooms).

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. may be required to perform some activities.
