Position Brand Description:

The Visual Inspection Test Administrator is a key member in a cross-functional team who provides training, practice, and qualification on visual inspection technique for all sorters/inspectors involved in inspection operations including existing and new inspection processes. This person interacts daily with a wide variety of people, including customers, other personnel, and site management.

The visual Inspection Test Administrator will also act as the Operations Training Specialist for the visual inspection area. They will become the experts within their assigned area and educate their team on the proper operation of the inspection machine. This position will have the opportunity to provide continuous improvement initiatives and strive to create the most effective/efficient training environment. The position will be involved with the evaluation of existing employees as well as the onboarding/upskilling of new hires in both the startup phase and commercial production. The Visual Inspection Test Administrator will maintain and manage the defect kit for the department.

This position will require travel (2–8-week trips and/or 3–4-month short term assignments) domestically to collaborate, train with, and learn from sites who currently produce our medicines.

Key Objectives / Deliverables:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, leading safety initiatives, and working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.

  • Will train, provide feedback, and qualify all visual inspection personnel for sorting/inspection technique and execute the re-qualification strategy.

  • May be involved in assessing skills and competencies for all sorters/inspectors, coordinate On-the-Job-Trainers (OJTs) to close skill gaps, provide on-the-job feedback to reinforce training and technique, and assessing documents or systems that the operators utilize to perform their jobs for improvement opportunities.

  • Is instrumental in revision of key procedures / training courses to make them more user friendly and better understood by sorters.

  • Responsible for understanding and communicating changes to paper or electronic forms, tools, and templates prior to their effective date.

  • Provide feedback to sorters to ensure appropriate sorting technique is being used during the training process.

  • Maintain printed or electronic document logbooks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.

  • Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Mobility requirements and exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.

  • Position involves work in combination of office and manufacturing areas

  • This position is a day shift position but required to support off shifts with the ability to work overtime, weekends, off-shifts by request.
