Our Biotechnology Discovery Research team is looking for a hardworking scientist with strong research and communication skills to contribute to our team. If you are a scientist experienced with phage display platform, which should include library construction, selection, and hit characterization, apply today! We are an innovative, robust, cross-functional, very collaborative, and high paced team responsible for establishing novel drug discovery platforms at Lilly San Diego. Your responsibility will include design and execution of phage, mRNA, or yeast library selections that should result in discovery of clinical drug candidates. Another responsibility of this role will include evolving the current display/panning practices towards innovative functional-based selection processes. Bachelor degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related subject with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience
Proficient in flow cytometry and molecular biology
Track record of innovation behavior, scientific curiosity, and desire to learn and implement new technologies and platforms
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Being a great teammate is a must
Capable of establishing and validating cell-based assays
Experience with mRNA display
