Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$169,500 - $248,600

What you’ll be doing

As the tech lead and product manager, you will work closely with the Product Owner, to drive the strategic development and execution of innovative AI/ML-based solutions that advance drug discovery and development at Eli Lilly. While the Product Owner focuses on the “Why” and “What”, you will focuse on the “How” and “When”. You will spearhead the creation of a world-class AI/ML platform, that is scalable, sustainable, and connecting to the rest of Lilly’s AI/ML ecosystem.

How you will succeed

  • Working with Product Owner to co-define the delivery milestones for the AI/ML platform.

  • Lead the design, development, and support of AI/ML platform, ensuring key technical delivery milestones are met within budget and on time.

  • Employ deep understanding of business needs and processes to make critical architecture decisions.

  • Foster strong relationships with Product Owner, stakeholders and customers.

  • Monitor business needs, and technology trends to guide tech strategy and proactively propose new solutions.

  • Monitor and evaluate product performance and proactively champion product improvements.

  • Develop and implement resource strategies to line up with the skill requirements of product teams, ensuring successful delivery of product roadmaps.

  • Proactively identify and resolve impediments to achieve business objectives for the product, including technical and resourcing challenges.

  • Uphold alignment to organizational, fiscal, and IT standards, including architecture, regulatory compliance, and security protocols.

  • Establish and supervise key product metrics to gauge performance and align with business goals and strategic direction.

What you will bring

  • Expertise in critical thinking and business area domain knowledge.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

  • Strong skills for building relationships and trust across diverse partners and customers.

  • Advanced knowledge of agile frameworks, CI/CD, DevSecOp, etc.

  • Familiarity with agile project management software such as JIRA and Confluence is preferred.

Your Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or an equivalent field.

  • 3+ years experience delivery of computational platforms.

  • 5+ years of tech lead experience in high-tech, life sciences, or AI/ML-focused industries.

  • 3+ years experience managing all aspects of cloud-based product development and lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and continuous improvement.

  • 3+ years experience in AI/ML technologies and their applications in drug discovery or biopharma.

Additional Information

  • Position requires work schedule flexibility, availability outside of regular business hours as needed to support business critical activities.

  • Travel Percentage: 20%
