This position is responsible to develop state of art technical design and roadmap for biologics IT/informatics solutions, cloud based implementation. This position is based in San Diego, responsible for the implementation of informatics solutions across multiple Lilly sites: San Diego and Indianapolis.
The successful candidate will lead a team to:
Responsible for design, deliver solutions in the cloud platform with security by design principle.
Responsible to implement integrated Biotech solution for antibody discovery and engineering.
Gather the requirements of workflow and automation; translate the business requirements to technical requirements.
Design the data model and work with lead architect with system design and API design.
Follow the DevOps principle for solution delivery, design/implement proper automated testing mechanism.
Drive thoughtful innovation through research of leading edge solutions and external “next best practices”, to leap forward.
Document system architecture design, system inter-operability and standard information exchange protocols with other internal IT systems.
Education or experience in informatics, biology or computational biology is desired but not required
Experience in BioTherapeutics division of Life Science industry is desired, familiar with antibody discovery & automation process.
Experiences in LIMS system design and development is desired.
Knowledge of agile software development process
Experience in sequence alignment clustering analysis is desired not required.
Experience with cloud computing and application configuration and deployment
Proficient in Unix/Linux OS and shell scripting
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to develop creative solutions
Agile learner, self-motivated and good listener

Bachelor Degree in computer science or computer engineering
1+ years in application architecture, data architecture and data governance, technology and infrastructure architecture, cloud platform
