At DICE Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly & Company, we design and develop innovative therapies in immunology for patients with debilitating disease. We are seeking to create a future where convenient oral medicines with biologic-like efficacy are available to patients with serious medical conditions, we are developing oral alternatives to medicines currently limited to injectable forms.

The successful candidate will assume the responsibility of independently planning and implementing experiments using various biophysical and biochemical techniques. These will include a variety of biophysical binding assays (SPR, BLI, DSF), biochemical potency assays (absorbance and fluorescence-based assays such as HTRF, AlphaScreen/Lisa, ELISA, fuorescent polarization, and SPR- or BLI-based PPI) and cell assays with engineered cell lines. Working in a multidisciplinary team, this candidate will support SAR and advance DICE’s small molecule discovery programs through their data production and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed analysis of small molecule binding using biophysical methods and direct binding assays, especially SPR, BLI, DSF/nano-DSF, etc.

  • Performing key experiments to support drug discovery using biophysics, biochemistry, and cell biology

  • Generating high-quality, reproducible data and investigating binding and mechanism of inhibition by using a suite of analytical instruments, supported by liquid handling, laboratory automation and advanced data analysis tools

  • Identifying and developing new assays as projects require

  • Communicating experimental results and analysis to project teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or MS in science related field

  • 2+ years of experience

Additional Preferences:

Demonstrated prior experience with at least 2 of the following techniques and technologies:

  • Biacore

  • Octet

  • Mammalian tissue culture

  • Liquid handling systems and automation such as Biomek, Hamilton, Integra,Tecan, or Echo liquid dispensers or similar

  • Data analysis software such as Prism, Dotmatics or similar

  • Creativity, a high degree of independence, and passion to learn new skills

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and record-keeping skills
