Organization Overview:

MI&CS (Manufacturing Information & Control Systems). MI&CS is part of Lilly Italia SPA Manufacturing Division. MI&CS provides IT and PA solutions through Software, control systems, data and integration, and project delivery for Manufacturing operations.

The IT Process Automation Integration Life Cycle Management Consultant ensure that the Data Integrity project’s roadmap is DEFINED and IMPLEMENTED on time, on the scope and within budget. Moreover, the ROLE will ensure that the project's objectives are met and that everyone else will perform their job properly.

Projects are usually separate from usual day-to-day business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives. The Role oversees the Data Integrity project's agenda to ensure the desired results are achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the different interests involved are satisfied.

Moreover, the IT Process Automation Integration Life Cycle Management Consultant is responsible to manage resource allocation and reinsure the right capabilities to support the local Manufacturing Functions for the Technologies Life Cycle Management. Everything has to be managed in compliance with Quality standards, HSE Standards and with a high focus on Data Integrity.

IT Process Automation Integration Life Cycle Management Consultant will work closely with the Local Manufacturing Teams, Global and Local MI&CS functions and Global organization to maintain in compliance and “Live and running” the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Architecture (CIM) and ensuring the delivery of quality Operational support.

IT Process Automation Integration Life Cycle Management Consultant will have to manage:

  • Technical internal/external resources team

  • Technical POC from other organization (if needed)


  • Agreeing project objectives

  • representing the client's or organization's interests

  • providing advice on the management of projects

  • organizing the various professional people working on a project

  • carrying out a risk assessment

  • making sure that all the aims of the project are met

  • making sure the quality standards are met

  • using IT systems to keep track of people and progress

  • recruiting specialists and sub-contractors

  • monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained

  • overseeing the accounting, costing and billing

  • Provide coordination when multiple teams involved in problem resolution

  • Be proactive in identifying future service requirements and trends

  • Manage and track regional or global projects and/or tasks

  • Provide regular communications to keep business partner aware of current key projects and initiatives

  • People management of External Vendor that provides Outsourcing IT Services

  • Ensure compliance to local, regional and global guidelines following the Corporate Quality Policies CSQ (CSV Computer System Validation)

  • Work with PA and Infrastructure support staff to ensure standard service/support processes are adhered to. Facilitate sessions in process validation when process changes are required to improve service

  • Manage the Handover process to the Support Organization

  • Problem and Change Management when is required before to release the System Solutions

  • Adhere to the Local and Global Standards / Quality and HSE

Basic Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in scientific discipline

  • Fluent English (Written and Spoken)

  • High-level knowledge of process control systems, experience in troubleshooting PA and IT issues, a fair knowledge of infrastructure platforms, network, operating systems (Windows and Unix), networking, relational databases (SQL and Oracle),

  • Core knowledge related to ISE S95 and S88 principles and IT/Automation integration and IT Systems (Cloud and Web-Based).

  • Laboratory Systems: such as Complex Client-Server based systems (Empower, Smartlab, Parsing), Spectrophotometers (Atomic, FTIR), Chromatographic Data System, pH Meter, Particle Counter (Lasair III), Microbial air sampler (Minicapt), Data Loggers, Dissolution system, Polarimeter, Osmometer, Environmental Monitoring.
