As the Brand Communications Manager or Senior, you are responsible to develop, implement and measure effectiveness of product communication strategies and programs of the BU you take care. In the meantime, you will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical, Access and other business partners to develop and deliver product communications programs to achieve business objectives. You will also provide support to corporate communications and internal communications on project basis.
Work closely with BU Head, Brand teams and sales teams to develop and implement annual and project-based communications plans and campaigns as an integrated part of the broader business plan to achieve business objectives.
Develop proactive product communications plan and programs to support product access in key provinces.
Manage product related crisis communication, including evaluating negative impact on business and the company, proposing communication strategy and plan, identifying key stakeholders, and developing communication key message and material.
Build and sustain relationships with business, consumer and medical journalists
Identify media opportunities and develop proactive communications plans to deliver key messages of our products and therapeutic areas to the stakeholders
Support and localize global product communications initiatives and programs
Develop compelling product communications materials (speeches, press releases, standby statements, webpages, product fact sheets, etc.)
Suggest and prepare topics, talking points and material for Lilly spokespersons and other stakeholders to talk with media
Monitor media coverage and lead external communications in the event of a product related crisis as a member of the Crisis Management Team
Identify appropriate PR agencies and maximize their value to the business
Lead, coach and develop PR firm involved.
Measure and track effectiveness of product communications programs.
Behave in an ethics and compliance manner
5-8 years of experience in a communications role encompassing both internal and external communications. Having experience in multinational pharmaceutic company is plus
Exceptional writing and oral communication skills, both in Chinese and English
Superior business acumen
Ability to translate business goals into innovative and creative but practical communications solutions
Strong quick learning capability
Excellent organizational and project-management skills
Detail oriented and accountable to results
Experience working in a changing business environment
Is able to work under high pressure
Ability to carry out multi tasks under tight deadlines and achieve results in a fast-paced, changing environment
Ability to work effectively within all levels of the organization, from senior management to entry level colleagues
Working effectively with cross-functional teams
Good team work, and also be a self starter and an ability to work independently.
Previous leadership and/or people management experience a plus
