Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
The expectation for the Advanced Analytics position is to anticipate, develop and continually evolve how we operationalize and support core processes, systems, and data to meet the current and future business needs.
Through close cross-functional business partnerships within Lilly, this role is responsible for operationalizing several prioritized business analytics commercial programs and/or systems.
The role requires a strong focus on ensuring the delivery of meaningful and insightful reporting to drive operational simplicity, increase commercial/user effectiveness and efficiency, and improve the Data Insight capability of the company to drive business. This role requires flexibility and agility to meet objectives as business requirements and the external environment evolve.
Contribute to the shaping implementation of our data strategy and technology roadmap.
Support all internal stakeholders in the preparation of complex and ad hoc analysis reports to provide business insights by creating reports, dashboards and data visualizations using a range of systems
Integrate various data sources into a singular, clean, and useable data set.
Support the internal implementation of structures, tools, and processes, engaging in data management, data warehousing, data integration, and data migration
Runs and maintain sales forecast in cooperation with trade department using multisource data management
Actively proposes improvements, enhancements, and new solutions and/or approaches to the existing business Intelligence tools of reporting (in collaboration with Global/Regional Teams) to support business with deep and accurate inputs and actionable insights, and making recommendations on any areas of the business that can improve data use
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives, and protocols regarding processing confidential data and privacy data.
Work with team members and cross-functional key stakeholders to resolve data and reporting issues.
Educate and train key stakeholders on the value of data analytics, and adoption of tools and dashboards, such as inputting data, data analysis and using data in various ways
Bachelor’s Degree (Business or IT-related major preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in role as Business Intelligence and Analyst.
Understanding from a user perspective of key business tools and concepts – Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM’s), Finance/Procurement, Developing skills to become a Power user over time
Computer literacy and proficiency in Veeva Systems such as Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), Microsoft Office applications (Excel – MS PowerQuery, MS PowerPivot, PowerBI); Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, AWS), Data Visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
Knowledge of relational databases, related database systems /applications (Oracle, SQL, TOAD, AWS, etc), and data analytics frameworks (data management, collection, warehousing, cleansing, modeling, integration, migration, data transformation, visualization)
Ability to liaise with multiple functions, and strong attention to detail to produce accurate reports in a timely manner
Strong analytical and planning skills, strategic thinking ability, and innovative thinking to achieve business objectives
Good troubleshooting skills and ability to think through issues and problems in a logical manner, problem-solving and can-do attitude
Detail-oriented and enthusiastic who is also focused and diligent on delivering results
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and articulation skills (written & verbal)
Strong Business acumen
Team-player who can also work independently, and proactivity
Flexibility to perform in a complex business environment and adaptable to change
Experience in pharmaceutical industry, but not mandatory
Ability to work across organizational boundaries
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English (written and verbal)
