Lilly Sr Brand Manager-Diabetes in Toronto, Ontario
The successful candidate would be a person who brings a fresh innovative approach to the team and sees the opportunities to take Lilly’s process to launching new brands to the next level. We are in a highly evolving pharmaceutical market with constantly changing customer behaviors and needs and our commercial activities need to reflect this . The successful candidate will be inspired by the challenge and drive the culture change that will support our new operating model focusing on a multi channel engagement (MCE) approach in engaging the key stakeholders pre and post launch .
The role will be responsible for marketing activities related to our future nasal glucagon asset - expected launch timing (Jan 2020). You will deliver integrated customer plans, cross functional operational plans and implement novel marketing activities.
Your marketing responsibilities will include gaining deep understanding of the disease area, patients and health care providers’ needs and insights that drive behaviors in severe hypoglycemia management. You will lead the cross functional team and partner with global to develop and implement near and long-term brand strategy and programs that will ultimately ensure a world class launch for this brand. You and your cross functional team will be responsible for a comprehensive and bold pre launch plan and creating exceptional customer experiences that will lead to a very strong brand uptake.
You will lead and effectively work and communicate cross-functionally within the organization and with key external healthcare providers and stakeholders in order to align the strategic and tactical direction of the brand with the overall corporate strategy. You will be accountable for leading the development and management of the yearly expense budgeting and the tactical execution of the customer plan in a way that is consistent with the principles and values of our organization. You will have a passion for the discipline of marketing and take an active role in positively contributing to capability changes that we all see happening. You will infect the marketing team with your new vision and approach.
The Nasal Glucagon BM is specifically responsible for:
Gaining deep customer insights across patients, caregivers and HCPs involved in the management of severe hypoglycemia
Leadership of the customer planning process and operational plan process for pre NOC and post NOC activities
Partnering with the Global teams to ensure alignment on strategy and efficient use of common resources
Driving and leading the launch preparation partnership process (L-12, L-6, L-3 and L+3) in collaboration with the cross functional local and global teams
Developing novel and innovative tactics that allow Lilly to partner with HCPs and help people with diabetes in better managing severe hypoglycemia events
Managing of the overall commercial brand budget for pre and post launch
Ensuring that Thought Leader plans are in place and are implemented to build trusting partnerships with the top diabetes thought leaders in Canada
Building relationships and partnerships with key patient advocacy groups and local diabetes societies
Driving innovative thinking across the cross functional team for a bold and comprehensive pre and post launch MCE plans
Ensuring that our commercial activities are planned and implemented in accordance with current compliance environment for a quick and efficient brand uptake
The Nasal Glucagon BM will have the additional responsibility of leading the Humatrope brand
Delivering annual revenue goals for both Nasal Glucagon and Humatrope
This role is based in Danforth Head Office, Scarborough Ontario.
Lilly Canada is moving to the Exchange Tower in downtown Toronto in the late summer or early fall of 2019
Nasal Glucagon Brand Manager / Senior Brand manager
Extensive pharmaceutical or other healthcare marketing experience
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of multi channel engagement
Ability to lead and partner with the cross functional team including sales, medical, PRA, regulatory, legal, market research, communication and other departments.
Demonstrated creativity in problem solving and customer solutions
Demonstrated capabilities in executing multiple projects at the same time while ensuring timely implementation and proper KPI tracking
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - French language skill is an asset
Prefer experience in diabetes therapeutic area
Prefer experience in pre commercialization preparation and launch implementation
