Organization Overview:

Advanced Analytics at Scale group focuses on enabling rapid advanced analytics solutions development and deployment for key AADS analytic capabilities across the company. This group connects the investments in enterprise data and analytics environments with IDS business areas that develop and deploy applications that embed advanced analytics at their core. Their mission is to expand Lilly’s capabilities to scale the development/training of advanced analytic and machine learning algorithms and ensure they can be embedded and maintained in production systems to achieve business value. For production advanced analytics solutions, there are specialized requirements to ensure quality, provide data monitoring, pipeline maintenance, and retraining of algorithms when needed to ensure that advanced analytics solutions continue to provide value in a changing environment.

Responsibilities:

This role drives the development of the initiatives to scale advanced analytic capabilities. Through internal and external resources, this involves:

  • Translating advanced analytics requirements to implementation

  • Work with advance analytic practitioners to identify needs and ensure scalable solutions

  • Plan and design advanced analytic pipelines to deliver at scale

  • Deliver on rigorous design and sound architecture

  • Provide guidance on data and computing technology

  • Maintain expertise on best practices and tools for deployment and delivery of advanced analytics deployment at scale

  • Integrate analytics platforms and tools on the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)

  • Drive adoption cloud based AWS solutions and MLOps

  • Optimizing analytics pipelines and products

  • Provide guidance on data engineering practices to ensure rigorous data delivery

  • ML / AI software and product design and architecture design

  • Enabling modular analytics and scalable processing

  • Maintain, plug-in, and operate algorithms on the EDP

  • Develop configurable data pipelines which can be leveraged for further insights

  • Scalability, usability, and performance tuning

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field

  • At least 5 years experience in high performance computing and data or AI/ML pipeline development

  • A minimum of two years experience with GitHub or similar version control systems

  • Experience with DevOps or Agile development

  • At least 2 years experience working with cloud based machine learning technologies

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience driving projects and collaboration with external vendors to deliver on products

  • Previous experience with AWS data pipelines and analytics infrastructure

  • Proficient in high performance computing

  • Demonstrated examples of developing data/ML pipelines
